We believe that you can raise money for good causes the world over just by the way you use the internet. Virtually anything you do on this site helps generate money for good causes. Not just ours you can suggest a cause and vote on who gets money from our list if you join us!
The Idea!
It's a simple idea
we want to help people use the web in a more ethical way! We don't take money (unless you want to give it!) , we simply provide a way for your actions to benefit others - and it doesn't even take you more time, heck you even get a few benefits yourself!
We are encouraging people to use the excellent firefox web browser at the moment - go on ask a techy which is better IE or firefox! - We also are aiming to get advertisers to give money to us for every purchase you make from their sites!

The way we want to do this is to have our members be able to vote on where the money goes!
Once you've joined you can have a look at the causes we have listed and vote for them! So Join Up or Donate! now!
Where does the money go?
We are looking for good causes that are unique - so to provide a new play area for a community, or take a dying child to disneyland. The bigger causes all have their supporters - we are looking for the smaller ones.
In Fact if you know of a good cause why not suggest it!
Is this for the UK only?
No, as far as i'm concerned anyone - anywhere can suggest a cause!
How much money have you made ?
Well we're new so not a lot at the moment - once you join you can see a total, hopefully as you use the site you will see it increase week on week! Make sure you tell everyone you know to use the site, that'll make it go up faster!
When we hit our first target ($10,000) we will do our first vote, I will take the most popular causes and e-mail every member to come and vote which ones we donate to!
Are you a charity?
At the moment of writing (10 May 2007). No. My name is Iain and I run the website and will be handing out the money based on how you all vote for the causes. I am assisted by Lucie and Neville who are helping me put together this idea! This is currently a brand new site and a brand new Idea. It may be neccesary to register as a charity later! |
